Quick answer: Explore is on the Discover page and shows several members at once, each with their photo, name, age, and any interests you have in common.
- Explore shows the members closest to you first, then members farther away as you scroll.
- Like or Pass on each square. A red heart marks members you've Liked.
- Undo a Pass before the countdown bar runs out.
- A mutual Like creates a Match. To say more before you Match, send an Intro Message with your Like.
Explore is on the Discover page. It shows several members at once, so you can find great connections you might have otherwise missed.
What you'll see in Explore
Each member appears in their own square, with:
- Their photo
- Their name and age
- Any interests you have in common, shown at the bottom of their photo
- A green dot, if the member is online now. See What does the green dot on a profile mean?
- A red heart in the top corner, if you've Liked them
If no interests appear on a member's square, it doesn't necessarily mean you have none in common.
How results are ordered
Explore shows the members closest to you first. As you keep scrolling, you'll see members who are farther away.
Like or Pass
For each member, you can Like them if you're interested, or Pass if you'd prefer not to connect. Your choice shows right on their square:
- Liked: a red heart appears on their photo.
- Passed: their square is greyed out, with a line through the heart.
When you Like someone, they're notified that you're interested.
Changing your mind
If you Pass on someone by mistake, a countdown bar at the top of their square shows how much time you have to undo it before the profile fades from Explore.
- Once the profile fades, the Pass is final and the profile can't be recovered.
- Undos are limited. If you run out, you'll be prompted to purchase more.
Starting a conversation
If you and another member both Like each other, it's a Match, and you can start messaging.
